Carex (Sedge Grass)

Contrary to true ornamental grasses, Carex grows well in shaded situations with moist, well-drained soil. Due to it's dense, mound-forming habit, it's difficult for weeds to survive. These grass-like, clumping plants are grown for foliage effect in borders, containers, groundcover, rock gardens and water gardens.
