Crambe (Giant Kale-Colewort)
These large leaved plants in the cabbage or mustard family feature leaves that are thick, coursely toothed to lobed and somewhat hairy, waxy, or both. The blooms are small, four petaled, mostly white and are carried on large airy trusses. Crambe prefers any slightly alkaline, deep well drained soil. Use in an herb-kitchen garden, with grasses, or as a specimen.
