Fargesia (Bamboo)
A genus of small to medium size clumping bamboos native to alpine coniferous forests of west and southwest China. Some species are among the most cold hardy of all bamboos in cultivation.

| As the cultivar name suggests, this species is a favorite food of the giant panda. Gardeners are more likely to appreciate its compact size. A clumping bamboo that reaches a height of just 8 feet, 'Green Panda' forms a dense habit.
