Macleaya (Plume Poppy)
These large upright plants need a lot of room in the garden. Huge gray-blue green lobed leaves are topped by a fluffy buff colored flower panicle. Plant in a sandy, freely drained soil. Plume Poppy spreads rapidly, but is easy to control by hand or by planting in a container to restrict root growth.
