Spring is in sight! Next weekend is the 2010 Portland Flower Show, which marks the beginning of a fantastic schedule of gardening events during March, April
and May with Estabrook's. Here are a few dates to keep in mind this spring:Spring Open House / Easter Egg Hunt Celebrate the return of gardening season and "Come Learn How We Grow" on March 27th and 28th at our annual Spring Open House in Yarmouth! We'll be conducting tours of our production greenhouses complete with a FREE plant you can take home to start your spring garden, offering unique product specials and serving homemade refreshments all weekend long. Plus, don't miss our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday afternoon of Open House Weekend. The Easter Bunny will be on hand to help kids collect the colorful eggs scattered throughout Estabrook's. Earth Day
Do your part for the planet this Earth Day, April 22nd, by shopping at Estabrook's. A percentage of your purchases on that
day will be donated to the Yarmouth Tree Trust, which was
established in memory of "Herbie", New England's largest American Elm tree, who was removed this winter.
The Tree Trust will seek to replace this majestic tree and others lost in previous years with new, disease-resistant elms
and other types of trees throughout the town of Yarmouth.Maine Garden Day Garden centers throughout the state of Maine are coming together to celebrate the first annual Maine Garden Day on May 1st. Visit your favorite garden center on that day for special promotions and events.
Pink Ribbon Weekend"Think Pink" during Mother's Day Weekend (May 8th and 9th) and help battle breast cancer, the number one disease that faces women today. We'll be filling our yard with special pink plants, gardening tools and more. A percentage of sales of those products during the weekend will be donated to the Cancer Community Center.
