In May, this variety's deep red-pink buds open to deep pink flowers and are displayed among bronze-red foliage that matures to green. 'Royal Gem' also offers dark red persistent fruit that is displayed from late August into winter.

What Do the Sizes Mean on Trees and Shrubs?
